Spring Cleaning

Comes around, Goes Around got cleaned to within an inch of her life
today. I pressure washed her off outside and inside. Scrubbed all i
could easily reach of her inside with soapy clorox water then hit her
with the pressure washer inside to rinse. Used the bilge pump to pump
water out. and then sopped up the rest of the water with some towels.
Left hatches open for two days and she dried out nice. One of the nice
things about a boat with very little wood on her. I also took
everything off the boat before cleaning. there was a lot of little
stuff that had migrated to her. 🙂

Interesting note is that
the battery is still holding a charge and working. It is a normal car
battery that I put a charge on about 15 months ago and put in. We
used it all last summer for running the lights in the cabin which are 4
led 12 volt trailer running lights from wall mart. As well as the bilge
pump once in a while when rain has gotten in the boat. I ran the bilge
pump for 10 or 15 minutes while washing her out and it just chugged
allong 🙂 I would have thought that the battery would have lost its
charge by now but I guess not.

Update as of august first on the battery situation.. I have used the bilge pump quite a bit lately as in messing around on the boat I left the hatch open and It would rain in the afternoon. I bet I’ve pumped about twenty gallons of water over three times this happened out of the bilge area. The battery is still going strong and I haven’t charged it yet. 🙂 inconsiqential addendum to my earlier post…
